Expo Update

Chemical Engineering Students to Compete in International Design Contest with Expo Projects
University and high school students throughout the U.S., Canada, and Mexico will participate in the 17th Annual International Environmental Design Contest (EDC) April 1-4 of this year at New Mexico State University (NMSU).

University of Idaho's snowmobile competing at the 2007 Clean Snowmobile Challenge Sweet Smell of Success! University of Idaho Two-Stroke Dominates National Clean Snowmobile Competition
The 12 members of the University of Idaho Clean Snowmobile Competition Team recently earned first place honors at the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Clean Snowmobile Challenge (CSC), where participating students from across the country re-engineer stock snowmobiles to reduce emissions and noise while maintaining or enhancing performance.

Safe Water for the World: University of Idaho Research Team Helps Bring Clean Water to Maasai Tribes
University of Idaho students from the colleges of Agricultural and Life Sciences and Engineering zeroed in on the tiny moringa seed as one component of an innovative solution to address clean water and water availability in Africa. The teams - with students in the research lab back in Moscow, Idaho, and in the field in Nairobi, Kenya - refined a process to create clean, safe drinking water and catchment systems for the nomadic Maasai tribes.

TMC Racings's J/24 sailing vessel Engineering Alumnus Sails in World Competition
By day, Lester Igo is a senior developer for InfoBlox, a Santa Clara, Calif.-based network identity applications development company. But when he's not ensuring network capabilities, he heads for the wind-tossed waves of the San Francisco Bay area to harness the wind in the sails of his J/24 sailing vessel.
