The following code of conduct is established by the University of Idaho. Strict adherence to the code is expected. Penalties for violation may include expulsion from the program. In cases where civil law is violated, the use of Moscow courts is appropriate.
-
Alcoholic beverages or dangerous or illegal drugs (including marijuana) are not permitted on campus, in any building thereon, or at any function sanctioned by the University, either on or off campus. Possession, use, ownership and sale are included in the prohibition.
-
Handling of any type of fire-protection equipment (including alarms, hoses, extinguishers, spray heads, etc.) is strictly forbidden except when fire emergencies require. The purposeful, false setting of a fire alarm will result in a $150 fine being assessed. Full participation in fire drills and response to any fire alarm is required; failure to do so may result in housing termination and up to a $1,000 fine from the Moscow Fire Department.
-
Firearms and explosives of any kind (including fireworks) are prohibited on the campus. Other dangerous devices (gas-powered weapons, slingshots, knives with blades over four inches, switch-blades, etc.) are also prohibited.
-
Cost of damage or theft of any University property will be billed to the individual responsible, or to the individual's parents.
-
When specific rules of a reasonable nature which seek to protect the comfort and privacy of the group are established, failure to comply therewith shall be a disciplinary matter. Such rules may include quiet hours, closing hours, restriction of use of equipment, etc.
