By PlaneIf traveling by air, the three closest airports to Moscow include the Moscow/Pullman Airport (Pullman, WA - 7 miles away), the Lewiston-Clarkston Airport (Lewiston, ID - 35 miles away), and the Spokane International Airport (Spokane, WA - 90 miles away). Major airlines include Alaska/Horizon (all airports), Delta (Lewiston/Spokane), America West (Spokane), Big Sky (Spokane), Frontier (Spokane), Northwest (Spokane), Skywest (Spokane), Southwest (Spokane), and United (Spokane). Participants arriving by air at any of these three airports will be picked up/dropped off by JEMS staff or shuttle as appropriate. Please contact Becky Gibson at (208) 885-0132 BEFORE PURCHASING YOUR AIRLINE TICKET to ensure that flight times can be accommodated and to make necessary arrangements, and then indicate flight arrival time/number and flight departure time/number on the acceptance form. By BusIf traveling by bus, Greyhound services a bus stop in Moscow at the Royal Motor Inn on 6th Street. You can learn about schedules at Greyhound's website - www.greyhound.com - or by calling 1-800-231-2222. Participants arriving by bus will be picked up/dropped off by JEMS staff. By AutomobileIt may be possible to arrange carpools or share transportation with other JEMS participants. A list of participants near you will be provided on request. Cars are not needed for getting around campus; students will NOT be permitted to operate a car if they have driven to campus. Counselors will collect keys at registration and will return them to students at check-out time on July 25, 2008.
If driving into Moscow, you may reach the residence hall/registration area as follows: Visitor parking permits are NOT required during the summer at the University of Idaho as long as one parks in a Red, Blue, Purple, Magenta, or Gray lot. Permits ARE required to park in Gold and Green lots. Permits are NOT required on weekends for any lot. Please park in regular parking areas (not handicapped, loading zone, metered spaces, reserved spaces, etc.) Workshop participants will be allowed to park on campus without a visitor's permit in a special parking area, which will be relayed to the participants at registration on July 13, 2008. |
