2008 EXPO Technical Session Judging Guidelines

  1. Participate in the Judge's Forum in the Gold Room at 8:15 a.m.
  2. Attend the Opening Ceremony outside the Ballroom at 8:45 a.m.
  3. Attend your assigned technical sessions during the time indicated above.
  4. Time will be allowed for questions directly following each presentation. You are encouraged to ask questions.
  5. Use the evaluation forms to give a rating in each category as well as a summary score based on student responses. Judges should take the following areas into consideration when scoring: i)purpose and audience impact; ii) structure and organization of presentation; iii)the style, format, and delivery of the presentations; & iv) any visual or supporting materials used in the presentation. Please stay within a 2-hour timeframe for your judging activities
  6. Please complete this sheet and return it, stapled to your individual rating forms, to the Expo Registration desk located on the first floor of the SUB as soon as possible following the conclusion of your assigned technical presentations.

Presentations will be judged on a 1-5 scale in oral communication based on the technical presentation. Attributes of incomplete, complete, and exemplary presentations are given for guidance in EXPO preparation and in assigning scores.
