2008 EXPO Poster Judging Guidelines

  1. Participate in the Judge's Forum in the Gold Room at 8:15 a.m.
  2. Attend the Opening Ceremony outside the Ballroom at 8:45 a.m.
  3. Visit each of the posters you were assigned before noon.
  4. Identify yourself as an exhibit judge if the author is present.
    1. If the author is present, you may ask clarifying questions. It is not necessary to interview all poster authors.
    2. If the author is not present, please evaluate the poster without contact with the author.
  5. Use the evaluation forms to give a rating in each category as well as a summary score.
  6. Please stay within the 2-hour timeframe for your judging activities. This can best be accomplished by limiting the time you devote to each poster to no more than 15 minutes.
  7. Please complete this sheet and return it, stapled to your individual rating forms to the Expo Registration desk located on the first floor of the SUB by 1:00 p.m.

Presentations will be judged on a 1-5 scale based on written communication by the poster. Attributes of incomplete, complete, and exemplary presentations are given for guidance in EXPO preparation and in assigning scores.
