Be Part of an Engineering Tradition:

Engineering EXPO is a College of Engineering tradition, it is a time for our students to shine as they display their senior design projects. EXPO is also an opportunity to invite young learners, industry partners and community members to come and experience the research and design that are happening at the University of Idaho's College of Engineering.

Engineering EXPO is an excellent learning opportunity for community members and students from grade school through high school. EXPO is also an excellent venue for the university's partners in industry to converge on the University of Idaho campus to judge the senior design projects, to connect with UI faculty and other industry partners, and to recruit some of the finest engineering graduates in the nation.

Why Engineering EXPO?

The University of Idaho Engineering Design Expo is our signature showcase of the innovation of our students. The College of Engineering has developed a program that focuses on teaching students the fundamentals of engineering during their first two years, and then creating opportunities for students to use those fundamentals in the labs while also earning experiences in engineering design. Engineering EXPO is the culmination of this education process. Every UI Engineering graduate participates in a senior capstone design course before they head to graduate school or the workforce. This process challenges Idaho engineering graduates to tackle real world issues with the help of industry partners.
