Thanks to the generous support of Micron and Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Engineering Design EXPO 2008 features an exciting new outreach effort just for high schools. Eleven high schools from Idaho, Washington, Utah and Oregon will receive a grant to attend Engineering Design EXPO 2008, fully funded! Your class will also be able to compete in exciting engineering competitions and earn great prizes!
Remember those final college projects you worked on until the early morning hours and hoped you'd get a good grade? Here's your chance to reward students for their hard work. EXPO 2008 provides the opportunity for you to interact with students, rate their presentations and see the exciting projects they've worked on throughout the year. The results are incredible!
Engineering Design EXPO is a signature event at the University of Idaho and the largest event of its kind in the Pacific Northwest. This event could not happen without the generous and continued support of our partners and sponsors. As an EXPO sponsor, your organization has the unique chance to interact with students first hand and gain recognition as a partner with the University of Idaho.
Engineering Design EXPO, our signature event and the largest event of its kind in the Northwest features some of the world's most innovative projects. Last year's senior students completed research that led to the design of an all-natural water filter to help provide clean and safe drinking water to African villages. This year, students will present projects including infant clothing with a monitor that helps detect the signs of SIDS and an alternative fuel using cattle manure, continuing the University of Idaho tradition of renewable and sustainable fuels.
An exciting array of activities, presentations and celebrations take place throughout the day on April 25. Take a look at the schedule to learn more about the day's events.
