Served in Executive Management in charge of planning, budgeting, and execution of total capital plant addition program - including distribution and transmission facilities, 13,800 to 500,000 volts alternating current and Extra High Voltage direct current, all associated substation facilities with appurtenant communication and protective facilities; and related general structures.
Retired in 1981. Worked as management consultant and technical and political activist since retiring. Great Life!

George Russell, P.E.

George Russel served as a Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Idaho and later became Assistant Dean of the College of Engineering in 1967 and Associate Dean in 1980. He served as vice president of the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), as president and national director of ISPE, and chair of the Professional Engineers in Education Practice Division. He was twice appointed to the Idaho State Board of Registration of Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors. He has served as acting Mayor of Moscow and has received numerous distinguished service awards for his work, including being inducted into the Idaho Engineering Hall of Fame in 2002.
